Campus Zone Results - Hyderabad – PES Blore and Rao’s Nellore make it to the National finals

Top eight teams at the Hyderabad Zonal

• Rao’s College Nellore :Vikhyat and Kalyan Sai
• PES Bangalore :Preetham and Akhil
• NITK Surathkal :Ms. Aditi and Amal Mohan
• IPE Hyd :Sanjay and Chaitanya

The central India terrain of Tata Crucible as dubbed by many on social media as the zone of death seemed to live up to that description, as three IIM teams lined up against aspiring doctors and engineers from across the region.

All the teams did well in the early stages of the quiz, with no one heading into a big lead. As the quiz progressed three teams clearly seemed in the race, with PES Bangalore, Rao’s College Nellore and IPE Hyderabad, all running each other closely. NITK Surathkal and AIIMS Jodhpur also did well but only in bursts. The IIM teams too found themselves slower on the buzzer and were unable to make headway.

During the final stages, it was clear that PES Bangalore would go through to the national final. The second slot became an intense battle, till Rao’s College Nellore gave a couple of brilliant answers to seal that position for themselves.

The chief guest Mr. Vishal Sanghvi COO of Tata Boeing Aerospace appreciated the teams and the quiz and urged them to never be scared of what they don’t know. He spoke of how the Tatas, had no great knowledge of aerospace and in a matter of time have become leaders in the industry simply because they had the courage to venture and willingness to learn.
