There is sometimes no final more competitive than Mumbai commented quizmaster Pickbrain. That in many ways underlined the tempo for the Mumbai finale. With many new challengers this year the stage was set for an absorbing final.
The quiz on a positive note with all the contestants keen to score early on. Piyush, Aniruddha and Karan got underway as the others kept the buzzers busy as well. It was however these three who looked well set and a shade better prepared. Aniruddha got into the lead just past the mid-way and decided to play it safe from there on. The others scoring once a while did not rattle him or get him to take any undue risks as he defended his Mumbai crown comfortably. It was Karan who rallied from behind to win the runner up title.
Ujjwal Mathur, Vice President & Country Head – India business at Tata Consultancy Services was the guest of honour. He reminded everyone that life goes on and it is important to brace up to tough times and good times that will follow. He appreciated how the quiz had seamlessly adapted technology to recreate the magic from the ground shows.
