Over 300 teams and the ballroom at Taj Lands End Mumbai was full to the brim. Quizmaster Pickbrain’s quick wit kept the audience glued to their seats. He also had an interesting mix of questions for the prelim with a dash of local flavour too. After the prelim the following six made it to the final.
Finalists
The final was absolutely riveting. Teams exchanged lead positions right through the quiz making it an edge of the seat entertainer. It was a pure game of strategy that went on from one question to another. At the end of the day IIT Bombay clinched the title, playing high values where required, while K. J. Somaiya with Prithvinath and Subhojit lost out choosing to punch low on their scores even on the questions they knew.
The other teams could not hold their own over a period of time, though it was a final that had all teams with an equal chance to win to the very end. The quizmaster appreciated the audience as well for answering all the questions missed by the teams.
The guest of honour, Mr. Ashutosh Pandey, CEO, Tata Cliq, appreciated the knowledge level of the teams and wished them well for their future.
