Super Over
THE TOP SIX (FINALISTS)
In the super over the legendary quizmaster, Pickbrain anchored the teams with crafty questions that led to a team each from MNNIT and IIT(BHU) making it to the top six. It was noted that the MNNIT team that made it was the 2018 Varanasi champion and a national finalist from a year ago.
The final witnessed a powerful performance from MNNIT with Shivam and Shiladitya, who got off to a quick start with some good hits. They were followed by the IIT BHU and BHU team who came up with some good answers but seemed reluctant to play at high values.
The last year’s champion relied heavily on the analytical questions and was therefore not able to make headway beyond those. MNNIT with Shivam and Shiladitya kept progressing with confidence and won the final with ease. The Faculty of Education (BHU) team finished runner up getting past the last year’s champ.
The chief guest, Dr. Rajiv Prakash, Dean R&D, IIT BHU spoke of how India has been a country that has always appreciated diverse learning and knowledge. He advised the teams to keep an eye for learning beyond academics.
